Welcome to our latest, greatest Disaster Response resource (created for kids by kids!). Nate Roberson has been busy gathering fun facts, hands-on experiments, how-to's and much more for families and children's directors. We can look to God to face our fears and help us be prepared and not be scared. When we take steps to prepare in advance for a weather event it is one way we love and care for one another.
Nature can be very dangerous. The forces of nature, like the rain and wind, can hurt people and destroy things. When this happens, it's called a natural disaster. There are many different types of natural disasters and they can happen almost anywhere. While you can't stop it from happening, you can stay safe during one if you know what to do. South Georgia has experienced several different types of natural disasters: hurricanes, tornados, flooding, and even fires. There are things that you can do before, during and after to weather the storm with love!
