A Note from the Cabinet Regarding the 2024 Charge Conference Season

Last year we rolled out a new charge conference process as we adopted new and more efficient ways of meeting and conducting church business. We received positive feedback but also heard that the rollout and deadlines were not announced with enough time to schedule local church committee meetings and then easily gather the necessary information.
Thank you for allowing us to learn and make adjustments. With that said, we are offering the timeline now so that you can plan your August and September local church meetings and agendas accordingly. The Charge Conference forms will be available before August 1, and an email will be sent at that time. A detailed list of each church’s charge conference date, consultation date, and the deadline to complete the form is below. Remember: you will want to take the dates on the chart and then set your SPRC, Nominations, Church Council, etc. meetings to meet these deadlines.
A few things to note:
As they were last year, Charge Conference forms will be fully online. Forms will not be accepted through email or mail (unless specified otherwise).
Charge Conferences will be held in groups with other churches between October - mid-November. The District Charge Conference schedules have already been set. (See below)
An email with detailed instructions on completing the Charge Conference forms will be sent before August 1.
New videos will be available with step-by-step instructions on completing the Pastor’s Compensation Form.
