Grab your paddle, jump in the boat and join us as we run the rapids at this year’s KidzQuest retreat September 24-26 at Epworth By The Sea on St. Simons Island. Designed for students in the 3rd – 6th grades, this annual children’s retreat promises to be high-octane, fast-paced and filled to the max with worship and fun.

This year’s theme “Running the Rapids” will look at some of our biggest fears.  Let’s face it, everyone is afraid of something - spiders, flying, heights, the dark, snakes, or large crowds being the most common.  So what’s your biggest fear?

The Bible has a lot to say about overcoming fear, specifically why we should not be afraid. Our main source of strength that enables us to withstand fear will always be the knowledge that God is with us. Throughout the Bible, God commanded individuals to "fear not, or, do not be afraid" by assuring them of His presence and help on their behalf. God wants us to know and be assured that as long as He is with us, we need not be afraid.

Children's workers are familiar with the common but serious fears of children. This year’s KidzQuest retreat will explore biblical stories of persons who overcame their fears with God's help. Together, you and your students will discover ways to overcome your fears and realize that our God is bigger than the things that scare us the most.

By combining the art of illusion, escapes, ballooning and comedy along with the Gospel, guest speaker Keith Coast will create an unforgettable experience! Keith believes that Christians should have more fun than anyone else because of the joy we have in Christ. It’s always easier to share the love of the Lord with a smile on your face, and this guy specializes in making smiles.

A new addition to this year’s KidzQuest is worship leader Brent Weber. Brent will lead us in high-energy worship that is one of the highlights of the weekend.  Brent's gifts of song- writing, producing, worship leading and entertaining have helped develop him into one of the most recognized national leaders for kids and families. Brent's music is heard nationwide on kids radio, and has been voted #1 by kids as having the most energetic and interactive songs.

Rounding out this all-star team is our favorite emcee Brandon Rushin, or “Hey Ya” as we like to call him.  Hey Ya will keep us entertained with fun and games and even promises to teach us a few new dance moves. Brandon brings an energetic personality that is contagious for the kids. His interactive/fun characters leave such a lasting impression on the kids - they will remember (and recount) their experience for years!

Each fall this event draws children from across the South Georgia Conference for an amazing weekend of Christian fellowship and fun. We guarantee that your students will be talking about this event all year long.

The cost for this event is $130 per person and includes meals, lodging, program, and t-shirt.  Please contact the event registrar Diane Giles at (888) 266-7642.
