Your congregation is invited to celebrate Vashti Sunday on February 4. For over 120 years, Vashti - located in Thomasville, Ga. - has evolved into a place of love, care, and healing for children who face enormous challenges. The United Methodist Women first founded Vashti in 1903 as an institute for young women. Their vision quickly grew into an organization that now serves hundreds of children, youth and families who face mental health and behavioral challenges every year. Vashti's programs foster healing, hope and resilience. They provide safe, therapeutic group homes and directly serve over 400 children and families in a six county region of Georgia with additional programs. Vashti also provides free training to organizations, churches, law enforcement, teachers and individuals on childhood trauma, trauma-informed care, youth mental health, child sexual abuse prevention and building resiliency. Healing and transformation are at the heart of their mission — and their impact is made possible by an amazing community of supporters. This is your opportunity to support the impact they are making through a special offering on February 4.
